The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial and administrative services in order to ensure timely, efficient and accurate financial reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Data entry, reviewing invoices and related documents to ensure the appropriate approvals, coding and accounting accuracy.
Records and verifies details of financial transactions in journals, ledgers, and automated systems.
Liaises with creditors to obtain or convey account information which involves data collection, analysis and account reconciliation as required.
Conducts periodic and month-end review of the Payables Ledger to ensure all vendor accounts are accurate.
Prepares electronic payment or payment request letters for vendors in a timely and accurate manner, inclusive of but not limited to wire transfers, request for Manager cheques and cash withdrawal letters.
Reviews bank statements daily to ensure that all payment transactions are processed by the bank.
Maintains and reconciles fixed assets inventory records.
Performs analysis for all depreciation accounts, as well as gain/loss and various balance sheet account reconciliations and analyses.
Ensures that all fixed assets are properly identified with property identification tags and accounted for, including adding new assets and making recommendations to dispose of obsolete assets.
Undergraduate Degree in Accounting or ACCA Level 1 and a minimum of one (1) year experience in a Finance environment.
Excellent written/verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
Knowledge of general book-keeping procedures.
Working knowledge of an automated accounting software.
