Job Purpose:

To provide support and focus on Service to the assigned customer base along with achieving new customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • *   Ensures that sales are increased within the designated portfolios whilst introducing and getting the buy-in from customers to extend the portfolio.
  • *   Ensures that product portfolios are available and merchandised according to the Brand Strategy.
  • *   Ensures that service levels are achieved along with attaining or exceeding monthly sales and gross profit targets.
  • *   Improves visibility at the Trade level ensuring that the product range is well represented.
  • *   Increases market share of Vemco’s products and achieves sales targets and outcomes within required schedule.
  • *   Ensures that Departmental KPI’s are achieved, and policies are adhered to.
  • *   Presents, promotes, and sells products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
  • *   Ensures that new and current portfolio product distribution is available at Vemco’s customers.
  • *   Assists with the continuous improvement of product offerings by providing customer feedback.
  • *   Performs cost-­benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs.
  • *   Fosters close positive working relationships with customers through direct visits and follow-up calls.
  • *   Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
  • *   Supplies customers with product information, sell sheets, pricing, samples and any other suitable marketing material in collaboration with the Marketing Department.
  • *   Assists with the resolution of payment issues in collaboration with the Finance Department.
  • *   Keeps ahead of best retail trade practices and promotional trends by understanding the market and territories to track sales, competitive activities, and retail economics.
  • *   Liaises with all areas of the Company involved in ensuring that products are efficiently delivered to customers.
  • *   Undertakes any other job-related duties assigned by the Supervisor or designate that may be necessary to achieve the Company’s objectives.


  • *   At least five (5) ‘O’ Levels passes inclusive of Mathematics and English.
  • *   Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in in a Sales capacity or any related field.
  • *   Experience within distribution industry.
  • *   Excellent written/verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
